Day 1: Day of Treatment
Blot thoroughly with a clean, dry gauze every 20 to 30 minutes until bedtime.
This process is very important as it removes excess blood lymph and pigment from the brows. This helps to reduce the amount of scabbing. Less scabbing means better retention of the ink.
Day 2-5: Wash the brows 2 times per day with the soap provided or very gentle glycerin soap (CeraVe, Purpose, Baby Dove)
Blot dry immediately after brows get wet and apply a VERY thin layer of aftercare ointment
Day 5+: Discontinue ointment
Other General Eyebrow After-Care Processes to follow:
Keep the brows CLEAN and DRY
Keep brows Makeup-free for 7-10 days this includes foundation! make sure to wipe your brows clean after applying facial makeup
Do not work out for 7-10 days! Sweat will destroy your permanent makeup during the healing process
Do not swim in a swimming pool or a hot tub or lake until the sloughing phase is completely over
Stay out of the sun during the healing phase and if you want longevity to your permanent makeup, you should avoid prolonged exposure and always wear sunscreen on your permanent makeup once healed
Poor aftercare WILL result in poor ink retention! There is always a fee if more treatments are needed.
Do not panic! Your brows will lighten!
The first 7-10 days your new brows will be bolder and thicker. Once they are healed, the color will soften 40-60%. Do NOT pick your brows, I WILL be able to tell. Please know that your brows will “disappear” which is called the Ghost Phase. Don’t worry, they will come back. It takes about 6 weeks for the color to fully bloom, then the touch-up appointment will be needed. Brows will always take at least 2 sessions and in some cases more (poor aftercare and skin health is a factor)
